I had one interview with two partners. They talked about my experience and whether I could learn the practice area they work in. They also asked about my experience with billing. It was a good experience overall, and I ended up taking the job offer.

It was a zoom interview with a lot of partners, and they asked many questions, but it was short. They expect high billable hours and have high expectations. They sound supportive, though.

I got contacted after applying and the attorney (managing partner of the office I applied to) seemed unorganized. He set up the interview and seemed more focused on whether I knew people at the firm and who I knew. He seemed to only pay attention to my answers partially. I met another attorney who advised me to negotiate hard for my salary, which implied that raises would be small and difficult to get. There was an overall sense of confusion and I had a bad feeling about it. I accepted an offer, thinking it was a 'necessary evil' to get closer to my ultimate goal; my gut feeling was right.

I sent my resume straight to the attorney I was applying to work with. About a week later, I heard back via email to schedule an in-person interview. It was a pretty chill and straightforward interview. A few days after that, they called me with a job offer. I did have to do some paperwork for HR for a background check, but that part was pretty simple too.
