It started with a screening chat with the recruiter, then I chatted with the office manager. After that, I met the junior partner, and my last meeting was with the senior partner. It all felt positive, and they were all super nice. They hinted at an offer and asked for my references, so I told them to expect a call. But then, nothing for two weeks. I followed up about the offer, and they told me they chose another candidate.

I had a phone screen with a recruiter, where I answered questions about my past work and the job. Then I had an in-person interview with April. She seemed tough and rolled her eyes when I struggled with some questions. She questioned how I'd handle interviews with Partners if I had trouble with her. I felt intimidated but mentioned my experience at a big firm. It's good it didn't work out; I don't think I could work with someone like her.
