First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Morris Furniture Company, Inc..
Sales Representative
They seemed really unprofessional. I showed up and they didn’t know I was supposed to be there so they had to call multiple people to figure it out. I was also being asked questions by someone who didn't seem prepared and had to look at their phone for interview questions but couldn't find any because they said there was no service.
- Can you tell me about your personal life and yourself outside of work?
Sales Associate
Got an email asking for an interview a couple of days after applying. They were nice enough to ask for my availability since I was working another job at the time. It was a pretty standard interview, and thankfully no 'tell me about a time' questions that felt like I had to write an essay. The interview finished with a tour, and they said I'd get a job offer once my background check cleared.
- What is one of your worst traits?
Furniture Repair Technician
The hiring manager for the department seemed compassionate and knowledgeable. It was a simple process, though it felt drawn out. Employees were wearing masks, but I'm not sure about COVID precautions in the warehouse. I got the impression the company might have high turnover, especially during the holidays.
- Do you prefer working in a team or on your own?
Buyer
I had two phone interviews. After the second call, they said I'd get a call before the end of the day to set up an in-person interview, but that never happened. The hiring manager was really nice on both calls. Then, just total silence and no response.
- Would you accept less pay than what was listed?
