Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Morgan Stanley.
Operations Analyst
The interview process was well structured, starting with an online test. If you met the benchmark, you will be invited to a telephone interview comprising competency questions and your fit for the role. If you passed this stage, you will be invited to the assessment centre where you will conduct a range of activities including a 1:1 interview, a case study and a group exercise.
- Can you share an instance where you had to pause and analyze a situation?
Operations Analyst
There was a group case study with MDs and VPs, and then 2 to 1 interviews for behavioural and competency questions like why MS, why Ops, and tell me about a time. I heard back within a week.
- Could you explain your interest in Morgan Stanley Operations?
- What attracts you to the Glasgow location?
- Can you share an experience where you demonstrated a particular skill or quality?
Operations Analyst
I was interviewed by 6 people over 3 rounds. It was mostly case study and behavioral questions. It wasn't too difficult, but your communication skills are really key. The case study itself was quite challenging.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in Microsoft and specifically this division?
