The interview process included a phone call and in-person meetings. We discussed generic questions about running projects and my strengths and weaknesses. It wasn't too difficult and the interviewers were nice. The initial phone call was with HR and consisted of standard CV questions.

Had an HR screening round, then some technical rounds on Java. This was followed by an on-site interview, then a managerial round, and finally an HR round. This was repeated: HR screening round, few technical rounds on Java, on-site interview calls, managerial round, HR round.

Went through interview for Senior Manager role at Morgan Stanley Fund Services Mumbai. Took 3 months to finish. Had 4 interview rounds in total. It was my second time applying for this job. Round 1 was Technical Product Knowledge. Round 2 was with Higher Management, focusing on Product knowledge plus Managerial capabilities. Round 3 was with Global heads, focusing on Client management. Round 4 was VBA/Excel, and I was rejected here. It's strange that HR and the Panel kept asking if I was applying elsewhere or had other offers. I felt I did really well in the first 3 rounds, but the Excel/VBA round solely determined their decision. My feedback is that if the VBA/Excel round is so crucial, it should be done first, not last. Also, the hiring process shouldn't drag on for 3 months, leaving candidates in prolonged uncertainty.

Confirmed questions5 questions
  • How would you manage conflict within a team?
  • Explain the Black Scholes Model, including the Greeks and the effect and impact of all variables.
  • Can you explain Stress Testing?
