I was contacted on LinkedIn for a Director role, but after talking, we decided a lower-level position would be a better starting point, which I was fine with. The interview was pretty standard and pleasant, they asked about my past management experience and how I communicate. They didn't really give me guidance on what they were expecting, so I offered a salary range that I thought was fair, maybe even a little low compared to my previous jobs. After I followed up, the Director of People & Culture told me the VP of Talent thought I didn't have enough experience, especially considering my salary request. Then she suggested I could start with a minimum-wage internship in acquisitions to get my foot in the door. Given my years of agency marketing and influencer work, this felt really out of touch. It's interesting because LinkedIn shows other Account Managers there are recent grads with just a few internships. Just be aware of your value when applying to MoreYellow.

I sent my resume and cover letter prior. Because I was in Oregon, I interviewed over the phone. They were super cool and understanding wanted to know what they could do for me.

I got an email from the recruiter. It felt like it went really well, and after talking a few times after the interview, I was supposed to get an update on what's next. I followed up but didn't hear back. I wish they would've just told me they went with someone else.

I came into the office for the interview, briefly met everyone in the office, and then sat down with the Program Director, gave my resume, and had a casual conversation.
