I got an interview the day after my phone screen, which felt like a good sign since they needed to hire fast. When I got there, I met with a woman who used to do this job, and they were looking to grow the department. She asked about my experience with different writing styles like blogs, ads, essays, and product descriptions, and asked me to send more samples. She told me more about the job, and I said I could do it and was eager to learn anything new, especially since web design is important in this industry. She didn't let me ask questions or mention salary. I went home and immediately sent the writing samples. She didn't reply, so I followed up a few days later, and she confirmed she got them. About a week passed without hearing anything, so I emailed to ask about their decision, but never got a response.

I talked to Emily Charlton from People Operations a couple weeks after I applied. She told me about the job and I went in the next day for an interview. It was a group interview with me and one other person. We did an activity to get to know each other and then introduced the other candidate to the panel. Then we had to sell the panel on something we like to do, not in front of the other candidate. We then got to ask them questions. They never asked us anything about ourselves. They said they'd make a decision based on our resume and application and what they saw from our "selling." Emily said we'd hear back the next day, but it's been three weeks and she hasn't responded to my calls or emails. I know they didn't pick me, but it's rude to ignore candidates.

The interview process was long and could have been more professional; they really dropped the ball. I applied in mid-March, had a phone screen in mid-April, and an in-person interview in late April. The in-person interview and the follow-up were not up to par. Initially, I was asked typical interview questions. However, when the interviewer explained the position, she mentioned looking for someone with no experience, which was fine since I had limited experience. This contradicted the job posting, which asked for 1-3 years of experience. She also asked about other positions I was interviewing for. I confirmed I was interviewing elsewhere, and she told me to let the company know if I accepted another offer so they wouldn't keep me in the applicant pool because it 'costs the company money.' She mentioned having another week of applicants and that I'd hear back after the following Friday. I waited about two and a half weeks after my interview and sent a follow-up email with no response. A week later, I remembered I had the interviewing manager's contact info and reached out. After almost a week with no reply, I got a generic rejection email from someone I never spoke with, stating it was nice to have spoken with me. I liked the position, but due to the lack of respect, I wouldn't do business or seek employment with this company again.

After your application is screened, and if they like you so far, you will receive a phone interview from one of the recruiting girls. The questions are the usual ones. They are really just trying to get a feel for your personality and phone skills. Be yourself. :) Afterwards, they will follow up in a day or two and will let you know if they are no interested or if they want you to come in for an in-person interview. After the in-person interview (30-60 mins depending on your position), they will contact you with if you got the position or not. Pretty basic stuff.
