The interview process with Moovel was very smooth, professional, transparent, open and friendly. It involved about 4 steps. It kicked off with a video call with the hiring manager, who stayed in touch throughout. After passing that, I was given a coding challenge to submit via GitHub. Once that was approved, I met the engineering head for the role. This interview covered details about the coding challenge, and also included discussions and specific questions about code, technologies, and general approaches to challenges. The next step was meeting the entire team of the squad I was applying for, to assess cultural fit. This meeting had a relaxed yet curious atmosphere, focusing on an exchange of experiences, mindset, and technologies, rather than a formal interview. It was great to meet the people I'd be working with daily. I received prompt feedback after each stage and was kept informed about the next steps. Overall, a very positive interview experience.

Technical Coding

The hiring process starts with a chat with someone from People Ops, then you'll talk to the Head of Engineering. After that, you'll meet the core tech team to assess your technical skills. They might give you a coding challenge, but that didn't happen in my case.

Behavioral Technical

The screening and interview process was really quick and efficient. Big thanks to the recruiter for the timely and clear follow-up. They answered all my questions and gave a good rundown of benefits when talking about the possibility of an interview, which helped give candidates an idea of the total compensation upfront. However, there were a couple of areas that could be better, which is why I'm giving this interview a negative rating. First off, they knew my salary range, and if the hiring decision-maker wasn't willing to meet it, they shouldn't have even interviewed me. But maybe the decision was really based on something else, and that's the over-reaction by an executive to a question I asked about the company's overall financials. When I'm working somewhere, I need to know the volume of business, and I feel like that's a fair question. The hostile over-reaction makes me think that's how that person handles tough questions in general. Not a good sign for an executive. It felt like this place had smart people and good products. They need to mature a bit in terms of professionalism if they want to hire the best people going forward.

There were many questions about me personally and how I envision my future. Without prior notice, the interview continued in English because it's the company's official language, as many colleagues are from abroad.
