Executive Assistant
I applied online one night and the next day got an email to schedule a phone screening for the next day. It was a quick and organized process. We had a good conversation where I was asked about my soft skills and administrative experience. I was told I'd hear back within a week about an in-person interview. A week later, I emailed the recruiter and they apologized for not letting me know the HR manager was out of town and would be back the next Monday to deliberate. It's been about 3 weeks since then. It's frustrating to be given timelines that repeatedly pass without updates. Even my intro HR classes covered more organized hiring processes. The position is no longer on their website, so I assume it's filled. They should just do what they say they will or say nothing at all.
- If you could have a drink in your hand and be anywhere in the world, what drink would it be and where would you go?
Creative Director
You'll start with a phone call, then have 3 work assignments to complete. After that, you'll get an email for an on-site interview. When you get there, you'll have a quick one-on-one with the VP of Marketing. Then, there's a 3-person panel where you present your work assignments to the CEO, VP of Marketing, and Sr. Marketing Manager. Expect a lot of casual chat. You'll then receive another email informing you about the outcome, which might be delivered unprofessionally.
- Could you share your most awkward moment?
Retail Marketing Coordinator
I had a phone interview and then two in-person interviews. It was a good experience, but I didn't get the job. This has happened to me twice now. They always follow up with you though. In my case, they decided to hire someone internally for both jobs. From what my friends who work there tell me, they do this pretty often. It's really annoying because you think you're doing great, and then you find out you were, but they still hired internally.
- Describe a time you had to handle a conflict while completing a project.
Helpdesk Coordinator
I put in my application for this role on LinkedIn.com and then got a call for an in-person interview from the HR person. I only spoke to the HR person during the in-person interview and no one on the IT team, so it was tough to have a technical conversation.
- Questions about my personality.
- Questions about my lifestyle.
- Questions about my past working environments.
