The interview process had 3 rounds, but then I got ghosted. It felt like they forgot about me! I had to reach out to ask about the next interview, and they said they'd reply within a week, but I heard nothing for weeks. No feedback or even a basic rejection email.

Amazing experience! The whole process was smooth, professional, and well-organized from start to finish. Everyone I spoke with was welcoming, and the conversations were engaging and insightful. I felt valued throughout and appreciated the clear communication at each stage. It was a genuinely positive experience that made me even more excited about the possibility of joining the team at Moonbug Entertainment.

The whole thing took about a month and a half from when I applied until I found out I didn't get the job. First, there was a phone call to screen me. Then, I had an online interview with the person who would've been my manager. The interview went really well, and we seemed to click. The next week, they let me know they wanted to talk more. But then I heard nothing even after I set up times to be available. I got a reply two weeks later saying they went with someone who had more experience. It was a bummer, obviously. But honestly, it was a pretty standard experience overall. Nothing particularly great or terrible about it.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

A recruiter initially contacted me about this full-time role. I had a good first phone interview with the recruiter. The second interview was with two executives from Moonbug, but one of them was 15 minutes late, making our 30-minute Zoom call feel rushed and cramped. The interview was vague, I wasn't told which social accounts I'd manage, and then they asked for input on one of their accounts without giving much context. I offered suggestions like adding sound to video clips and improving website social links, drawing on my experience creating content calendars and balancing different content types. I also pointed out the missed opportunity of not having a parenting blog on their website to drive social media content. Despite my detailed answers, they accused me of not being detailed enough and lacking the skills for the job, which felt like gaslighting. The job wasn't described well, the accounts weren't explained, yet I was expected to create a full social plan on the spot. They wanted someone with video, photography, and social media skills, which I have, but they gave me very little time to answer and seemed pressed for time. It's unreasonable to expect a detailed social media plan without hiring someone first; that's what they should hire experts for. The interview was rushed, and they weren't even punctual. Looking at Glassdoor, former employees are unhappy. I won't let a company make me doubt my expertise, especially when I have a master's degree and certifications. The adults running this company seem clueless, and I'm glad I didn't get the job. I prefer a company that respects my knowledge and pays for ideas, not one that expects a free, detailed social media plan in a rushed interview where the interviewers are late.
