I really enjoyed the process, there is a great balance of assessing your personal, soft/hard skills & growth mindset. The first stage was a Recruiter call where I was getting asked about my background and experience. The recruiter was really engaged and did a great job of prepping me for the overall process, what to expect and tips to help set you up for success. The process was very smooth and insightful, which drove great conversations around Hiring metrics, process improvements, stakeholder management, collaborations, dealing with ambiguity, working at scale. What I enjoyed was that each stage was different, and the questions drove great conversations. The hiring team did a great job at making the interviewers feel relaxed but also engaging and give you an insight to life at Monzo. I'm scoring the interview difficulty was average. As there was a good difference of challenging questions, some more than others so I didn't feel it was too difficult nor to easy, I feel they got the blend right.

The interview process was pretty straightforward - online application, telephone interview, a take-home test, and then an on-site interview. I invested a lot of time to apply for this role, and I submitted some great work. I got to the final stage, but they did not offer me the job based on experience, which I lacked as an in-house recruiter. They also said it was because I did not talk enough about automation in the recruitment process. These were really small things that can definitely be taught.

The process was casual but informative, allowing for a good back-and-forth discussion. I gained a lot of insights about the job, the team, and got a genuine sense of the company culture. The interview was conducted virtually.
