First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Monument Chemical.
Operator
They ask questions about your past work, your aspirations, and the like. There's a short written test with problems on it that are similar to the SATs. You don't get hired on the spot. Usually, you'll have to go through a few more interviews. If you're a good candidate, you'll be put into a hiring pool that they draw from when they need new employees.

Co-op Engineer
I signed up for an interview at a job fair at my university. A week later, I was interviewed by an HR person and a Co-op student who was on his third rotation at Monument. They were both very friendly. They took turns asking ten questions that were mostly about my academics, but a few personality questions were included too.
- What makes you believe you'd be a good fit for this position?
Production Engineer
It started with a recruiter call, followed by another call with their operations and plant managers. The final round was an onsite to meet the team. It was one of the best interview experiences I've had, as they were organized and communicative. Everyone I met was friendly and knowledgeable.
- Tell me about safety.
- Walk me through your experience.
- Can you answer some behavioral questions?
Mechanical Engineer
I was approached at a Career Fair, and given a next day interview because they were in town. Representative from HR and Lead Engineer interviewed me. Interview only lasted 12 minutes. They asked typical questions, and only two behavioral questions. Offer was given a week later
