Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Monster Mini Golf.
Attendant
It was pretty simple - they're gonna ask you some stuff about how you get along with kids, what you're like as a person, and maybe throw in some 'what if' scenarios to see how you'd react.
- What's your experience like working with a lot of kids at once?
Mad Scientist/Party Host
Got referred by a friend, dropped off my resume. The owner called a few days later saying he lost it and told me to come in for an interview. It was a one on one with an owner and I got turned down for being too "cold". Months later they called back when all their staff quit and asked me to come in for orientation.
- Do you know about Monster Mini Golf and have you visited before?
- What previous experience do you have for this job?
- How would you handle a customer interaction scenario?
Crew Member
It was super easy. They don't expect you to have any experience. When it comes to the games that are involved, most of them are surrounding potential future work scenarios you might find yourself in. Don't be uncomfortable in-character, just relax and try to be as creative and quirky as you naturally can.
- What are your salary expectations?
- Why are you interested in this role?
- How many hours per week can you commit?
