The interview process started with an introduction about myself, then moved to a technical question about cloud database programming and another on network infrastructure. Following that, we discussed my career path for the next 10 years, what I can bring to the company, my strengths, my weaknesses, and my communication skills. This was followed by a question about reactive programming.

First up was a resume and recruiter screen, that was like 20-30 mins. Then a technical screen for about 45-60 mins. After that, we did a case study or take-home assignment. Then came a behavioral interview, followed by an interview with the stakeholder or hiring manager. The final round was a panel or exec interview.

First, I talked to a recruiter, who seemed like a contractor rather than a full-time employee. The recruiter mentioned that the hiring manager wasn't interested in candidates coming from contract roles, even though I specifically said I was looking for a permanent position. This role also appears to be open annually, which makes me wonder if the company is a poor place to work or if the finance department is poorly managed.
