Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Monica Vinader.
Management
The interview process started with a phone screen, then a 1-hour timed written task, followed by two face-to-face interviews, and concluded with a 2-hour timed written task. The whole thing took about 5 weeks. They were upfront about what to expect, which was good. Unfortunately, after all that, I never heard back from them, even after sending a couple of polite follow-up emails. It was pretty disappointing given how much time I put into it. Maybe they're a bit disorganized, or maybe they just think their time is more valuable than a candidate's. Either way, it's something to consider before applying.
- Can you share an example of a time when your team had a disagreement?
Management
Had a Skype interview that felt pretty basic but promising. Then there was an hour-long written test. After that, I had separate one-on-one meetings with executives. One of those meetings went great, but another one was a complete disaster. This one executive was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and aggressive right from the beginning, making it impossible to have any kind of productive conversation, no matter what.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Manager
First, I had a screening call with their HR person to see if my experience fit. Then, I had to do a proficiency task. Finally, I had two interviews with different team members.
- Can you describe a specific scenario and tell me what you would do, using an example from your current job?
