This interview was pretty disappointing. I was really excited about this one because I'd heard and read good things about the company, but the recruiter just focused on my last job, which was only a 2-month consulting gig, even though I have over 6 years of experience to talk about. The recruiter wouldn't let me move on to other roles until I answered all their drill questions. They had a pretty flat tone for most of the interview, and the only time they sounded like they were enjoying the conversation was when I asked about working at MongoDB. Then they talked a lot about it with a cheerful tone. I got rejected a few days later.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was one of the most professional and pleasant experiences in my career. Throughout, there was constant support from someone in HR, both before and after the interviews, ensuring feedback was gathered and everything was going smoothly. The process consisted of five interviews with various stakeholders I would potentially work with, and each one was conducted with professionalism and care. The interviewers consistently made me feel comfortable, and all the questions posed were intelligent and constructive. Support was readily available whenever needed.

The interview process had 3 main stages: initial screening, the program management team, and then organizational level interviews. The initial screening was 1-2 interviews. The PgM team interviews were 2-3 interviews covering PgM skills and systems technical competency. The org level interviews were 3-4 interviews covering culture fit, product management, technical skills, and the hiring manager. The whole thing felt pretty long, taking about 2.5 months. There were long silent periods, like 3-4 weeks with no updates, and I had to follow up a few times to make sure things were still moving. They didn't give ETAs for the next steps. Overall, the questions weren't too hard with some prep, but the final outcome and feedback felt more like a convenience than based on merit.
