I interviewed at this company in September 2025. I noticed that some job openings have been up for over a year, which makes me wonder if they're actively filling them. The interview process was a letdown, with multiple rounds that took up a lot of my time and effort to prepare for. While the people I talked to were professional, the whole thing felt really unclear. I got rejected without any useful feedback after finishing all the steps, which made me feel like my time wasn't well spent. It gave me the impression that maybe they aren't really looking to hire, but just keeping the posts up for visibility. This is frustrating when you're genuinely looking for a job and expect straightforward communication. If you're serious about finding a job, be careful, as this process could take a long time with no guaranteed outcome. But if you're just looking to practice your interviewing skills, it might still be worth it.

The interview process at MoneyLion was pretty efficient and professional, with feedback coming back quickly. I'm not going to get into the details of the process flow, but if you're in data science and heading to the final interview, remember they really care about the impact of your projects. You need to think about how your past work solves business problems and what the results were. I think not being able to explain these points clearly might have cost me the offer, but the feedback I got was really helpful. I'm planning to try again in about six months. I appreciate how much time they put into each candidate; it's great that they invest so much in hiring.

The interview process at MoneyLion consists of four main stages before securing a position: first, an online skills test covering SQL, Statistics, and Machine Learning; second, an HR interview; third, a week-long take-home assessment where a complete Data Science project is to be done based on a given topic; and fourth, a final interview with the Hiring Manager to discuss the assessment from round 3. I made it to the third round. The initial round was on HackerRank, featuring multiple-choice questions on Statistics, Machine Learning, and SQL, which means I would need to brush up on these areas. The second round was a pleasant chat with the Talent Acquisition team, likely the HR department. The interviewer asked for an introduction, probed about my fit for the role by asking questions related to it, and provided comprehensive information about MoneyLion and the specific position. The third stage involved a full Data Science project to be completed within a week, centered around loans, which aligns well with the company's business. Unfortunately, I wasn't shortlisted for the final round.
