First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mondial Assistance.
Chargé d’assistance
Interview at a student fair for a seasonal job. They asked about my academic background and the languages I speak for international assistance. They also asked about my availability over several months and seasons, assuming the experience goes well. Lots of candidates, but they were efficient in their selection.
- Can you tell me about your academic background?
- What languages do you speak?
Customer Service Representative
I applied online for a customer service/call center position and shortly after, Mondial called me. Since I couldn't make the training dates for that role, the caller transferred me to a different department that handles traveler's insurance/assistance. I had a quick phone interview with another recruiter, and she set up an in-person interview for the next day with a supervisor. Both the recruiter and supervisor were super nice and easy to talk to; they seemed really interested in my answers and my background. The office waiting area looked pretty cool, and the call center seemed like a standard office setup. I was supposed to have another phone interview on Monday, but on Monday morning, before that call, I got an email saying they were going with other candidates. I'm not sure if that email was for the first job I applied to or based on my in-person interview. Anyway, I still got the phone interview call but then nothing. It was a bit strange to get a rejection email and then still have the interview scheduled.
- Can you share an instance where you had to manage a challenging relationship with a colleague?
Customer Service Analyst
The entire process happened in a single day. It began with a talk about the job, what's expected, rights, and perks. Everyone present got to introduce themselves. This is a group discussion, and they encourage you to speak up and express yourself well. They'll ask about your past work experiences and any specific situation you successfully resolved during your time there. There's also a general knowledge test, an essay, and a typing test.
- Tell me about a time when your action alone resolved a situation in your previous job.
Actuary
I had a phone interview with the recruiter. They wanted to know what I knew about the company and asked for my salary expectations upfront. This was a bit of a sticking point, but once I gave them my previous salary, it seemed to influence things, even though they said I was a good fit.
- What do you know about the services our company provides?
- What was your previous salary?
- Could you provide your current salary information?
