Gen AI Intern
The interview process concentrated on my resume and data structures and algorithms. It's important to prepare thoroughly for the resume and the topics covered in it, as you'll need to answer questions about them. Since it was a Gen AI intern role, I was also asked questions related to machine learning and deep learning.
- Could you tell me about your experience based on your resume?
- What are your thoughts on ML and DL?
Data Analyst
So first, I had this assignment, then went into a technical interview. They asked me stuff from my resume and wanted deep dives into my projects. Also had some basic coding challenges, SQL questions, and questions specific to the role, plus a bunch of scenario-based questions to see how I'd solve problems and apply my knowledge.

Collections Manager
Applied through indeed. Started with a good HR phone interview where I laid out my salary expectations and relocation needs. Then had positive phone interviews with the CFO and CCO, where I felt I showed a good grasp of the role and built rapport. They invited me for an in-office interview and covered airfare, but not ground transportation. I met with 3 C-level execs for 2.5 hours. It was odd because I got different answers to the same questions from each of them, and it seemed like they didn't have standardized processes or policies. They expected a thriving AR recovery team but wanted to limit my involvement in risk and credit management, which seemed contradictory. Many times they'd brush off my questions with 'Oh, you don't need to worry about (subject.)'. Their questions were more about my previous employers' financials than my own experience. They liked some of my strategic ideas but were hesitant about implementation and cost. The company's product is solid tech with good earning potential, but they seem slow to change and make sudden, destabilizing decisions. They've had multiple CEO and CFO changes in less than a decade, which they discussed openly, causing some concern. I received an offer, but declined it. The offer was less than the posting, less than I asked for, and below market value – frankly, a bit insulting, especially the relocation offer for moving a family to the Bay Area. On a lighter note, everyone seemed pleasant, the office had a peaceful vibe and a great ocean view.
- Why should I decide to hire you?
