First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Molton Brown.
Sales Associate
The interview process was great. I had a phone interview that went well, and then I was invited to the store. I got my job offer the next day. It was a really good experience, and I'd recommend working for this store.
- Tell me what you know about MB.
Sales Associate
The interview process involved a lot of repetitive questions, mainly centered around customer service. You should be ready to answer the same question but framed differently, for example, concerning ATVs, customer experiences, or working under pressure.
- Can you describe a time you successfully turned around a negative customer experience?
- Tell me about how you've dealt with a situation where a customer was unhappy.
Sales Associate
I applied online on the Molton Brown careers site for a Seasonal Sales Associate role. The application asked for basic contact info. The manager called me 5 days later to schedule an interview. I missed her call but she left a message. I called back immediately, and she asked if I could work weekends and when I was available to meet. I scheduled the interview for a few days later. The interview itself was good. I met the manager at a Caffe Nero near the store, which felt more informal. She explained she'd ask me questions and take notes. The interview lasted about 10 minutes. She asked questions about why I wanted to work for Molton Brown, what I knew about the company, my likes/dislikes from my last job, experiences with customer service, and my definition of good customer service. She also asked minor things like my commute time, salary expectations, right to work documentation, and criminal convictions. She mentioned she had more interviews that day but would call by Monday with the outcome. The interview was relaxed; I didn't feel nervous because we chatted informally before starting. I'd advise knowing about Molton Brown's history and products, and dressing stylishly and professionally because they sell luxury beauty products.
- What did you enjoy most about your previous role?
- What did you dislike most about your previous role?
