Associate
This was a 3 round interview process for a lateral hire. It included a behavioral interview, a technical interview, and then a superday at their office. The behavioral and technical interviews were each 30 minutes long. The superday was 2 hours and focused on deal experience.
- Tell me about your experience.
- What technical skills do you have?
- Can you solve these math problems?
Associate
The interviewer seemed uninterested. The technical questions were fair and direct. The firm runs an efficient process, not really focused on networking or casual chats. There were three rounds in total.
- Can you explain the three financial statement models?
Summer Associate
So the interview stuff had both technical and behavioral parts. For the technical side, they asked about DCF, accounting, dilution/accretion, LBO, and other random things like Beta and Cost of Debt. The behavioral interview was pretty standard, asking "what if" or "tell me a time when" type questions.
- Can you explain a Discounted Cash Flow analysis?
- Tell me about a time when you had to handle a challenging situation.
- What would you do if presented with X scenario?
