Web Developer
The process was well structured and had a good balance of three rounds total. They should also implement a technical assessment test and use the scores for a more accurate selection.
- Can you share your professional background?
- What are your areas of interest?
UI Developer
It started with a phone screen where they told me about the company and the role. Then they asked about my coding and UI development experience, specifically with Angular, and whether I knew it or could learn it.
- Did you know about the Angular Framework?
Senior Software Engineer
First, there was a call with HR that went well, and they said a second interview would happen. I followed up a week later, and a second interview was set up. This was a technical interview with two engineers where I had to pseudocode a palindrome solution, and we talked about my experience with RDBMS and Java/Spring. They mentioned they were still interviewing other candidates and I'd hear back. A week after that, HR emailed asking if I was still interested. I said yes, and they replied that they were still interviewing others. That was the end of it; I never heard back.
- Could you write code to check if a string is a palindrome?
Java Software Engineer
First I had a phone screening with a secretary, who asked me some basic and intermediate questions about java, java web technologies, and data structures in java, as well as time and space complexity. After that, I had an in-person interview with 3 engineers and a director. They were all friendly and asked me standard technical questions and about my previous job. They also told me about their mission. Then, the director took me to lunch and we chatted. After that, I spoke with someone from finance about pay and benefits. They inquired about my previous salary and asked me to justify a raise. Our conversation felt like we were assuming I'd get the offer, just to speed things up if it happened. The people and environment seemed really good.
