Behavioral Case Presentation

I should have listened to other people's reviews. It's super obvious that this company just interviews to get free consulting advice. After I had 3 phone calls with the Director and VP, I went for a 4.5 hour onsite interview and met with 7 people. Later, I found out they actually hired no one, even though this was their third round of interviews! The people interviewing me seemed inexperienced, and the questions weren't really about my skills or technical abilities. Instead, they were asking for my advice on how I'd handle specific problems or challenges they were dealing with right then. It was pretty clear they were taking notes and writing down vendor names, which was a big red flag. Lots of other concerning signs too.

Behavioral Technical

I applied on their website and heard back from a recruiter about three days later to schedule a phone call. The call went well, and then the recruiter emailed me the next day to say I'd made it to the next stage: a technical phone screen. I started studying, but then realized I hadn't gotten a confirmation email. I emailed the recruiter but got no response. Three days later, the team lead called me for the interview. Surprisingly, he didn't ask any technical questions at all; it was really just another behavioral interview. He didn't seem very engaged, asking me questions I'd already answered and repeating questions the recruiter had asked. The interview was supposed to be 30 minutes but went on for an hour. I suspect they had already found someone. He said they'd let me know by the end of the week. After waiting all week and into the weekend, I emailed the recruiter for an update. I received an automated rejection email. It feels like a waste of my time.
