First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MobileFuse.
Client Services Manager
It was a pretty standard interview process, you meet with the managers on the team. They gave me a media planning exercise to do as part of the interview, and I had to finish it to get to the next stage.
- Can you describe your background and experience?
- What do you know about the industry?
- Were you asked to complete a media planning exercise?
Sales
The interview process for a marketing company usually involves a few stages like resume screening, phone or video interviews, skills assessments, and then in-person interviews. They want to see your marketing knowledge, creativity, communication skills, and if you're a good fit for the team.
- What are your key strengths that would benefit this position?
Account Manager
I sent in my resume and got an e-mail the same day to set up a phone interview. I liked how fast they responded. But the interview itself was another thing. The person interviewing me seemed bored with my background and acted like they hadn't seen my resume. Anyway, the interview seemed to be going okay, when about 20 minutes in, she just cut it off without me getting to ask any questions about the job. It was rude, unprofessional, and amateur. Just another example of companies that think they are "innovative" but are actually old-fashioned and unoriginal in how they hire. Such a waste of my time.
- Can you talk about your experience?
Mobile Designer
The interview was complicated by the company relocating to a new office, which was part of the original agreement. The interview concluded with the CEO of the company yawning; that says it all. If I ever see the CEO of MobileFuse again, I'd be curious to see how he'd react if I yawned at him.
- Were you involved in creating designs from the very beginning?
