& Process

You'll be meeting with six different people, and each one will ask you a question. They'll give you all six questions beforehand, printed out, and then they'll go around one by one asking their question.

Easy interview process. Very conversational, no real problems with the interview. They ask a lot of questions. I would recommend interviewing with them, the staff is really nice. I don't have much more to say but it was a good interview process.

After applying to MCPS about 5- 6 weeks prior, I received an email to sign up for a screening interview. This is the initial interview that determines whether you are a good fit for the county. After selecting on the days offered to interview (two days were available with a 9am- 4/5pm time frame). Then I was called about 5 days later to agree on an exact time and was requested that I send my resume. I was given the choice of a phone interview or a googlemeet, and I chose a googlemeet. Positive experience. First is the screening interview for a teaching position before further interviews.

During the interview process for this Assistant Principal role, I was presented with numerous real-world scenarios that allowed me to draw upon my prior experience. I felt the interview went exceptionally well because I had direct experience with all the topics the three interviewers brought up during my internship. They covered a wide range of critical areas for the position, including safety, salary expectations, job responsibilities, student discipline policies, curriculum development, daily schedules, staff-to-student ratios, child nutrition programs (CNP), custodial services, library management, teacher unit allocation, managing grants and grant writing, parent engagement strategies, and understanding federal funding streams.
