The whole hiring process took a while and was kind of unclear. After I first spoke with someone from Talent Acquisition, they set up an interview for me 5 weeks later. Then, I had to do an internal assessment and then one last interview before they made me a job offer.

I sent in my CV and then got an email to do a phone interview. The HR person who interviewed me was from another province. They asked me some behavioural questions and then a few questions about when I could start and what my salary expectations were.

After some remote technical tests for pre-screening, I had a face-to-face meeting with the team lead I'd be working with. It was a relaxed chat where they asked about technologies I'd chosen for projects I led, and why. They also asked some technical questions about potential situations I'd face here, but nothing like math problems or difficult puzzles. It felt more like a discussion about architecture and engineering, figuring out the best way to meet company goals. They also seemed to be checking my background experience and any challenges I'd faced.
