I had a phone interview shortly after applying for the role. The person I spoke with was impressed by my professional experience, technical skill set, and education. I was told I would be contacted for a second interview, but I was ghosted instead. Seems like another company unsure if they can actually hire or not, and testing the waters by interviewing talent prematurely. Apply with with low/no expectations.

Interviews were surprisingly simple and all conducted via Zoom. The strategy director initially seemed very interested, but this shifted during the second interview with the CEO. I raised concerns based on negative Glassdoor reviews and also spoke with four former employees who had mixed feelings. The CEO was pleasant and admitted the company has issues. I also inquired about the role being posted again after being open the previous year. The CEO initially couldn't recall, then the director suggested they keep job postings active to collect resumes, before the CEO clarified they had hired someone who didn't work out. A new concern emerged when the strategy director struggled to answer my question, giving a seemingly off-the-cuff response, which raises questions about how she manages people, stress, and difficult conversations. They prefer an old-school, in-office approach. Overall, the people were nice, but my primary worry is the director's management style.

Had a 30 minute Zoom interview with 3 nice staff members (2 research associates and 1 planner). They asked some basic questions about why I want to work at MKthink, my work history, my experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and how I've used graphics to present information.

BE AWARE! This company and another team called Roundhouse One use candidates to source the information or projects they need to get done. They will ask you to work on various "tests" during the interview process. I was asked to do a market research, provide strategies, and then asked to share my past confidential client information, and so on and so on. Until a point, I refused to work for them for free, and they just disappeared.
