The interview process was very thorough and they scheduled things quickly. It felt like a fresh process. They provided a lot of feedback, although it was quite general. I had a sense that in some parts, they just didn't click with me and made up other feedback to justify their decision. The team itself was very friendly, though.

This hiring process was really confusing and inconsistent, even after six interviews for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer role. Initially, the interviewers were friendly and gave positive feedback, and I felt my technical solutions were good and scalable. However, the rejection email stated I wasn't product-focused enough, which contradicts the feedback during the interviews. I even added extra features to the live code challenge, which was well-received, but later received written feedback complaining about duplicated code that wasn't there. My System Design interview feedback was also contradictory; I was told my solution was working and scalable, but then later told I needed guidance on scalability and reliability. The process dragged on with 6 interviews and a homework assignment, and they judged a developer role on product leadership criteria without being clear upfront. Leadership's response to concerns was defensive. If you're a developer here, expect to be judged on leadership and product strategy over technical execution, and be aware that feedback is inconsistent and the process is longer than usual. Decisions might be based on uncommunicated factors.

They started with a 15-minute HR interview. Then, I had a 1-hour session with the Hiring Manager focused on behavioural questions. Next, there was a coding take-home assignment that took about 2-3 hours, where I had to add a simple feature to a provided project. Following that, I did a live coding session for an hour, which involved reviewing the take-home code and adding another feature. The process concluded with a 1-hour system design interview. After the initial HR chat, they sent a presentation detailing their hiring steps, interview advice, company info, and contract types, which was quite helpful. The whole process wasn't quick, but they were good about sharing feedback after each stage, even after I didn't pass the system design part. Everyone, from HR to the interviewers, was respectful and friendly.
