My interview experience with Mixlab was great. It all wrapped up in about a week and had three interviews. All the stages were organized well, and the people interviewing me were professional, friendly, and clear about the job. The questions were good, and I felt good and valued the whole time. Basically, it was an easy and good experience.

It was an awesome experience throughout, even though I didn't get the job in the end. I got to chat with three senior leaders, who were all super professional and friendly. They felt I was a bit overqualified for the role I applied for but were keen to stay in touch. They were really open about the business and their strategy, so I learned a ton from each chat. The company has great leaders and is set up to hit its goals. I was really impressed even without an offer.

The interview process went well. There was constant communication and everyone I spoke with was extremely nice. I first interviewed remotely with the Director of Operations, who was wonderful. My second round of interviews was in-person at the compounding lab with the PIC. The PIC was very nice, and I was thoroughly impressed with the lab and staff. The interview questions were fair. The interview questions ranged from asking about my experience to learning more about me as an individual, which I very much appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience.

This was a super long, messy, and unprofessional interview process that went on for months. There was hardly any communication between the 6+ people I interviewed with. I never even spoke to HR, which made me wonder how serious they were about filling the role. Some interviewers questioned my qualifications, even though I had more than the required 1-2 years of outside sales experience, vetmed experience, and willingness to travel extensively for territory growth. It makes me wonder if they need to update the job requirements or if this was some kind of tactic. Why have so many interviews if you doubt my proven success? The company culture felt arrogant. They excused the interview delays by saying they were 'crazy busy,' which is understandable in the vetmed world, especially during Covid. Despite their cockiness about their services and the potential lucrativeness of the position, no one could discuss sales goals, strategies, or future plans (next year or 5 years). The company offers a great service and was likely founded on good intentions and innovation for an outdated industry, so it was disappointing to see how disconnected some interviewers were. I definitely wouldn't recommend applying to anyone in the field.
