First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus.
Staff Engineer
The interview process for the role involved a manager round, a senior manager round, and an HR round at each level. Each role had different questions, with basic job-related questions asked at the manager level and personality questions at the senior manager level.
- Basic job related questions asked during the manager level interview.
- Personality level questions asked during the senior manager level interview.
Intern
Submitted my CV and went through a first-round interview. It was pretty typical and straightforward. They were fast with their response, which I appreciate. I had to speak both Japanese and English, though it depends on the team you apply for.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- What are your thoughts on recent news from our company?
Entry-Level Engineer
I went through three interview rounds and a technical test. The first interview was with HR and covered general questions. The second interview was with the line manager, and the third was with upper management. The test involved general engineering questions that were like easy first-year university level questions.
- Could you explain the differences between a diesel engine and a gasoline engine?
Intern
First, there was an online test with aptitude, basic math, and analytical questions. Then, I had an interview with the Hiring Manager about my strengths, key projects, and prior experiences. After that, I had a multi-person interview that was similar to the one with the Hiring Manager but included situational questions. Finally, I interviewed with an HR representative.
- Tell me about a time you led a project or initiative.
