First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mission Measurement.
Impact Director
LinkedIn messages went back and forth a bit, then there was a call/interview. After that, the whole team just stopped responding. It was really unprofessional and unstructured, not many emails or forms or anything.
- Tell me about your interest in impact and measurement.
- What's your experience in the development sector?
Senior Associate
So the interview process was like a phone interview, then an in person interview. Then they asked me to submit a cover letter, which was weird cuz it was after the first interview. Then I had to submit writing samples and do this long case analysis that took days and was several pages. Then there was another in person interview. Honestly, the whole thing felt unprofessional and messy. They first interviewed me for one job, then when I went for the in person interview, they said they actually wanted to interview me for a different role. The application requirements were just strange. And the long analysis was kinda off-putting. The worst part though was that at the very end, they offered me a low-paying contract job, not even what I initially applied for, so I obviously said no.
- Could you analyze the given data and share your interpretations?
Consultant
So I had about 5 or 6 interviews. It was about a month long. First, I talked to someone who seemed to be in HR. Then I had 2 or 3 interviews with staff members. The last interview was with the CEO. The final step was a case study where I got some info, had to make a presentation, and then present it to a bunch of staff. Most of the interviews were behavioral, but there was also a take-home case that ended in a presentation.
- What is your motivation for seeking this position?
Intern
After submitting my resume and cover letter, I went through two rounds of interviews, and then got the confirmation. The recruiter was really kind and willing to talk about their experience with MM. The process really helped me gain a better understanding of MM and the social impact sector.
- What makes you want to intern at Mission Measurement?
