The company was upfront about what to expect and their interview process from the beginning. They had quite a few rounds. The interviews themselves were mostly pleasant. I was really impressed that they had a stage focused on their company culture. I was one of two candidates who made it to the final stage, and then they threw in an extra interview round. After not hearing back about an offer within 48 hours, I figured I didn't get it. That part was fine, I understand how it goes. But I do have a complaint about how it wrapped up. A few days later, I got a rejection email. It came after 5 PM on a Friday, like they wanted to avoid any follow-up. So after spending 6-8 hours prepping presentations, going through six interview rounds, and rescheduling for more interviews, they apparently couldn't spare three minutes for a call. Their actions in how they handled this rejection basically told me everything I need to know about the organization and how they value people. When someone dedicates that much time to pursuing a role with my current organization and is a finalist, someone from the company—recruiter or hiring manager—should call to thank them and close the loop. It's about respect. It's a shame other companies lack the decency to do the same.

I had a recruiter call first. They said they usually finish hiring in 7-10 days, which is super fast. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager. After more than a week of silence, the recruiter emailed me saying the hiring manager interview went great and they'd schedule a panel interview with some team members in the next two days. That was the last I heard from them; they ghosted after saying they'd reach out for the next interview. The team seemed cool, but the process was really weird. It took over a week just for the first two interviews, so why say the whole process is 10 days? And why say the interview went well and I was moving on, then just disappear?

This was the longest interview process ever, seven interviews over six weeks. It started with a recruiter screen, then a hiring manager interview, followed by a 'test drive' interview. Then another recruiter call, another interview with the same hiring manager, a culture fit interview, and finally a 'bar raiser' with two VPs. I was repeatedly told there were only one or two more interviews left, but more kept getting scheduled. After all that, they rejected me for not having a specific experience that wasn't on my resume or in the job description. It was a complete waste of my time.

This was one of the best and most organized interview processes I've gone through, even better than some big companies. They gave me a document upfront explaining the entire process and what to expect at each stage. Communication was good and prompt, though there were a few small delays at the end. Overall, I was really pleased with how it went.
