First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Miramax.
Finance
I had a phone screening and then an in-person interview the next day. Everyone I met was really nice and knew their stuff. After that, I heard nothing back for about 5-6 weeks. I tried reaching out through email and LinkedIn, and even had my referral do the same, but no response or explanation. I get that companies aren't obligated to respond, but I think it's basic courtesy to let candidates know the status of their application, especially when you leave avenues open for that. It seemed like a good place to work, but be prepared to be left in the dark if you interview here.
- How do you fit with our company culture?
- Describe your understanding of the expectations for this role.
- They mentioned being 'quick' on role opportunities, what are your thoughts on that?
Sales
The interviews were very straightforward, no tricks. I spoke with the hiring manager, my future direct manager, and my peer. HR handled all the initial screenings and follow-up. I got the offer and started a couple of weeks later, and mostly enjoyed my time there.
- Can you walk me through your background and experience?
Intern
I had a phone chat and then was asked to write a sample coverage on a script. They were super nice and easy to talk to and asked the typical questions. I think they mostly judge your ability based on your resume and writing sample, and the interview is more about seeing if your personality fits with the company. It took a few weeks to hear back because they were busy with the Cannes festival at the time.
- What are some of your favorite movies or TV shows?
Accountant
I applied and after they reviewed my resume, they invited me for an interview. I first interviewed with the HR Department, and then I interviewed with a Senior Manager. The interview overall went well.
- Tell me one thing you liked about payroll, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable, and one thing you didn't like about each. Also, why do you want to be an accountant?
