First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MINT dentistry.
Operations Manager
I got a call from the recruiter first. Then a phone interview happened about a week later, and after that, I went in person. It was a pretty standard interview process, nothing unusual. Got the offer a few days later.
- Do you have experience or comfort with sales?
General Dentist
The interview process is quite thorough and gives a lot of explanation. It usually happens in about 2 or 3 parts. They really welcome and encourage questions! I enjoyed chatting with everyone I met and liked the office tour. You can find info about the MINT culture online and on YouTube before you even interview.
- Can you describe your approach to leadership?
Dentist
The interview process started with a phone interview, and then moved on to a working interview. The working interview can be pretty stressful, as you might expect, since you're dealing with new materials, a new assistant, and treating a patient based on another doctor's diagnosis. I feel like there really ought to be a more effective way to handle this part of the process.
- Can you tell me about the number of crowns you completed during your schooling?
- What is your typical timeframe for performing root canal therapy?
Human Resources Business Partner
The hiring process dragged on for months because they seemed hesitant to make a decision. As a candidate from out of state, I paid for my own travel to come interview in person. They indicated an offer was forthcoming after I had already succeeded in three remote interviews. My in-person visit was to reassure them about hiring someone from out of state. During the interview, one interviewer made a rather direct, insulting comment: "That was the first interesting thing you said all day."
- I see you have experience in labor relations; is that something you'd consider returning to?
