I'm always impressed when the founder interviews, as it shows they have a clear vision and want to ensure cultural fit. However, this experience wasn't great. I felt rushed throughout the interview, with the co-founder asking only two questions and seeming eager to finish quickly. While I understand busy schedules, it would have been better if they were committed to the screening process without creating time pressure. This might reflect on the brand, considering their choice of a model and lack of response regarding his content.

The entire interview process took nearly three months, which was pretty draining. It ultimately didn't work out, and I think that's for the best since it wouldn't have been a good fit. The company is really young and informal; there was literally a rabbit in the office and its droppings everywhere. I feel like candidates should know this upfront because it's not a traditional workplace at all. While that might suit some people, it definitely wouldn't have worked for me. I left the process with a bad taste in my mouth. As usual, I had to do almost all the follow-up. I would have liked to know earlier if they decided to move forward with someone else. Things were very informal at Ministry, and it showed from start to finish. Also, they never gave me any idea about the salary for the position, which bothered me the most. They dodged the question multiple times, and even when it was brought up with the founding partners, they just said it would be 'competitive.' As a designer, that term is meaningless due to the huge pay range in the field.

This place doesn't have an HR department. The recruiter I spoke with had to do that job, even though it wasn't her actual role. She wasn't very attentive to finding candidates. Communication via email was super slow; I'd have to wait a whole week for a response. The phone interview was really short, like 5 minutes, and felt like she just wanted to say hi. I'm pretty sure she mixed up my resume with someone else's. She sounded very out of it. Please do your job right before wasting people's time. No wonder your employees quit.

First, I had a one-on-one chat with the store manager. Then, I interviewed with the CEO. The whole process was pretty relaxed, and both interviews were under 45 minutes. They were really nice and easy to talk to. I got the offer three days later and accepted it.
