I got a call for an interview and it was scheduled. I interviewed over the phone with a panel of three people. It was about 20 minutes long. They answered my questions. They asked me questions about my personality, teaching methods, and technical skills.

I got contacted by the Ministry of Education because they were searching for a lecturer for a College of Applied Sciences in Oman. I had a phone interview after they gave me a 20 page orientation manual to read so I would be more familiar with Omani culture. During the interview, they asked me a bunch of questions about my knowledge of University software like blackboard and what I would do if a student had a family crisis and asked me for help.
- How would you respond if a student extended an invitation for you to dine at their home?
Assistant Professor
The interview was held at JW Marriott and involved a panel of four people. They examined my CV, identifying any weaknesses or shortcomings. Plagiarism was strongly disapproved of. The people were good, but the offered salary was around 1000 Omani rial.
