First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ministry Brands.
Software Engineer
It was a two-round interview process, pretty straightforward. First, there was a technical interview. Then, I had a chat with HR and the VP of Engineering. They mentioned I'd hear back the same week. After a week with no update, I followed up for a status check, but got no response at all. It was pretty inconsiderate to leave candidates hanging without any update, not even a generic one to show respect for our time.
- Can you tell me about your past work experiences?
Director
The interview process was quite lengthy and protracted. Unexpectedly, more interviews were added very close to the end. A few of the individuals I spoke with seemed unprepared for the discussion. One even admitted, 'I'm not sure why they're having you talk to me.'
- Could you explain your understanding of the role?
Sales Director
The interview process was really good. I spoke with four different leaders in the company. Each chat was mostly about my past experience and leadership style, and the questions were pretty standard.
- Can you describe a situation where you led a team through a time of change or uncertainty, detailing your approach and the outcome?
Product Marketing Manager
I interviewed for a Product Marketing Manager role at Ministry Brands and wanted to share my experience, particularly about the lack of communication later on. I applied on 3/5 and completed two interviews. First, a recruiter phone screen, then an interview with the hiring manager. Both went well, and the hiring manager said there were no issues with my qualifications and asked for work samples. I sent them right away but didn't get any confirmation. I followed up multiple times with both the recruiter and hiring manager about the samples and if anything else was needed, but got no replies, not even a confirmation of receipt. Then, this morning, I got automated emails saying they weren't moving forward, citing my skills. The silence after positive talks was really disappointing and made for a bad candidate experience. I think a personal response would've been better than a generic automated one, especially at a later stage. My main issue isn't not getting the job, but the lack of communication. Future candidates should be aware of this potential communication gap.
- Can you outline your go-to-market process?
