First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MineralTree.
Program Manager
I talked with the hiring manager for a Program Management role. The budget for the position was just over $100k. Mineral Tree's pay is very low and way below market, which makes me think they don't care about getting and keeping good employees. The hiring manager commented on me living in California and that the company couldn't match higher salaries. So why interview me? Did you even look at my resume? They seem incompetent if they can't read a resume and see the location to figure out the salary range. Why ask me to interview? I think they interviewed me just to meet their "diversity quota." This short chat was a waste of my time and the salary offered was ridiculous. I felt disrespected.
- What salary are you looking for
Engineering Manager
This was for a new branch opening in Bangalore. It started with two rounds, but they kept adding more. They didn't seem to have any intention of making an offer, just saying they needed more people to talk to me. Every time they asked for another round, they were vague about the offer letter, just saying positive feedback was received. When I pressed about the process conclusion, they went silent. It felt like a scam, possibly fake interviews with no offer plan. I suspect they had a candidate already and were doing these interviews to check boxes for equal opportunity. A really disappointing experience, and the consulting agency they used was also shady. Be cautious if looking at opportunities with this company.

I was contacted by HR and was told the position I was inquiring about was open due to the currently employee finding employment elsewhere. Cool. I spoke with HR, the hiring manager and several other individuals from the team all within a week’s timeframe and have not heard back from anyone since. It’s really inconsiderate to reach out to a candidate, have them meet with everyone whom they’d be working with to not give any sort of response back. Although my meetings with each individual went great and the hiring manager stated how much they’d love to have me on their team, I understand that things do change. However, COMMUNICATE THAT!
- Could you provide a brief overview of your background?
Principal Automation Engineer
It was a series of interview rounds from team members to the CEO. It was a great opportunity to get to know the people before making a decision. The interviewers were really nice and engaging. The leaders gave a great vision for the company and expanding the team, so it gave a great opportunity to grow.
