I applied and got contacted by Chris, a recruiter, for an initial chat about the job and my background. Then I spoke with Daniel, the QA Manager, who asked some light technical questions. Chris called back to invite me for an in-person interview the following week. The interview had three parts: first, with an ex-QA engineer and a current QA engineer, discussing my experience and some technical questions. Second, with Daniel for a coding challenge. Third, with the Engineering Manager for a chat about my background and cultural fit. After that, I was told I'd hear back in a few days, which they did. The whole thing was quick and professional, though I didn't get the job. I respected the people and process though.

So first there was a phone call with an outside recruiter. Then a phone interview. And then a one-on-one meeting with the sales manager. The office is on the 15th floor and everyone there is pretty nice. The only downside is you have to pay for your own parking. I was asked a bunch of questions and we got to know each other. They kept asking me why I wanted this role when I should be looking for a Sales Engineer position, as there were no openings. I got a lot of compliments and felt pretty good about the interview, but I felt like they thought I was a bit overqualified. A few days later, I heard they're moving on with other candidates.

So, I went through four interviews. First was a screening, where we talked about MindTouch and my interest in working there. Then, an in-house interview that lasted 3 hours. It was split into four parts: 30 minutes for coding and software design, 30 minutes for a technology overview, 1 hour for technical interview and questions, and finally, 1 hour for a cultural interview. After that, I had a 1-hour interview with the CEO. They made an offer just a few hours after my third interview.

I submitted my resume online and was contacted by a recruiter. The process began with a phone call from the recruiter, followed by three on-site visits at MindTouch. The first visit involved an interview with a director, the second with an engineer for a technology interview, and the third was a C-suite interview. I received an on-the-spot offer during the last interview. It was a really great experience.
