Product Manager
So I had 5 interviews total, spread out over 5 weeks. It started with a recruiter call. The next week, I met with the hiring manager for an hour where we got to know each other. The third interview was also with the hiring manager, an hour long again, but this time focusing on my skills and capabilities. For the fourth meeting, they asked me to prepare and present an 8-slide PowerPoint deck about a go-to-market strategy, including industry trends and analysis. The final, fifth interview was with the hiring manager, his VP, and the General Manager, and we spent the whole hour discussing the role.
- Can you provide an example of a strong value proposition?
NOC Engineer
Had an initial chat with the NOC manager over the phone, then a 1:1 with them. They asked some technical stuff, then straight into a group interview with the Site Manager and NOC manager. Mostly focused on company fit and personality. The whole process gave me a good feel for the company culture and where they're headed. After the interview, they showed me around and I got to chat with the team and see their facilities. Got a call from HR two days later with an offer.
- Can you share your two most significant career accomplishments?
Sales Director
My interview process was pretty fast since I came over from Ricoh USA. The role I was considered for was Sales Director, moving up from my previous position as a Ricoh Service Sales Executive. Some of us Sales Executives were invited to interview with mindshift because they were taking over Ricoh's IT services. The interview focused on my skills and experience in selling cloud-based and proactive solutions, which were a key part of Ricoh's IT services offering.
- Can you share your experience at Ricoh and if you'd like to continue that work at mindshift?
Support Engineer
The interview started off well then declined quickly. The first interview went very well. The second interview was with a different hiring manager who wants to bring me on as a Tier I. With my background, I should be hired as the manager but I am humble enough to start just under and work my way up. I have over 20 years in the IT industry. What an insult!
- How would you deal with a caller like 'Grandma'?
- What resources do you use when you need to find information to help solve a problem?
- Can you explain how you would verify if a specific port is currently closed?
