Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MINDEF Singapore.
Analyst
I had a panel interview with three people and one scribe. The panel asked thought-provoking questions and scenario-based questions. The interviewers were nice and approachable, and they were very open to answering my questions about the role.
- What is a strength you possess?
Analyst
The interviewers asked questions that were easy to understand but related to the job. They were nice and answered my questions about the ministry. It might take a little while to finish the whole application though.
- Were you a leader or a follower?
Analyst
The interview process was good overall, but the HR department caused issues. The interviewer indicated they were very keen on hiring me and suggested I inform them if I received another offer. HR contacted me via a missed call and text message. I replied to their texts twice during the week but received no response. I then sent an email on Saturday to follow up, and they finally responded on Monday to reject me. Thanks to HR for their helpful and prompt communication.
- Could you share your perspective on current regional and international conflicts and their potential implications for Singapore's security?
