Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Milwaukee Tool.
Reliability Engineer
Started with a phone screen from talent acquisition, then another phone screen with the hiring manager. After that, there was a 3-hour interview which was split into four 45-minute sessions. Each session had two panel members, including PMs, Quality/Reliability Managers and engineers, and Electrical Engineers. I got the offer about a month and a half after the final interview.
- Questions on a wide range of technical topics
- Questions covering behavioral aspects
- Questions related to my past experiences
Manufacturing Engineer
I got an interview with Milwaukee Tool because someone referred me internally. I talked to the manager, and they asked me questions about my resume and about basic Engineering and Manufacturing knowledge. It was a pretty relaxed and interesting conversation.
- Can you explain what time studies are?
Reliability Engineer
It started with a phone chat about a role, then I visited the company for a casual walk and talk. I got more interested, so a few days later, the formal interviews kicked off. The first round had 9 people for 30 mins each, from the Engineering Director to Marketing, giving a lot of different viewpoints. After these chats and sharing my thoughts, they realized a different job function was a better fit. It seems like they really care about finding the right match for both the employee and the company, which I think is great. With a better position identified, another round of 30-minute interviews was set up with 4 more people, one of whom was the hiring manager for the new role.
- Can you describe a challenging work situation you managed?
