This was one of the best interview processes I've seen in my 25+ years in blue/white collar industries. It wasn't a multi-round interview, nor did it involve excessive phone screens or follow-up emails. It was just one large panel interview with all stakeholders, which allowed your first impression to be your best impression for the team to make a decision. Other companies should consider doing the same depending on the role.

The recruiter reached out and suggested I apply since my resume fit what they were searching for. I initially got an automated rejection email, but the recruiter contacted me a week later, wanting to schedule an interview. I then had an interview with two engineers who seemed uncomfortable. They mostly asked questions that suggested they didn't understand my resume and reacted negatively, implying my answers about my skills were wrong. After the interview, the recruiter said they'd be in touch, but I never heard back. The questions weren't technical, just about my background.

The interview was an all-day affair at a place that was quite dirty. Some managers seemed disengaged, texting on their phones instead of interacting, similar to the lack of attention observed in the hallways. The bathrooms were also messy and unclean, and during a tour, strong chemical smells, like burning plastic, were noticeable in the office area, with one section appearing to have chemicals seeping from the floor. The entrance was impressive, but the reality of the facilities was disappointing. At one point, finding an available bathroom stall was difficult, and the sinks were also dirty.
