Electrical Engineer Intern
The interview was mostly behavioral, focusing a lot on discussing my resume. There were some really basic electrical engineering questions, like about voltage dividers and voltage over a capacitor. They also asked simple C questions about pointers and some keywords. It felt like they cared more about cultural fit than technical skills for this intern role.

A recruiter reached out, and things seemed good initially. After a couple of phone calls with Milwaukee, an interview was scheduled. I didn't get specific role info beforehand, which put me at a disadvantage. The interview itself was a grueling 4-hour marathon on Microsoft Teams. It was packed with questions, mostly behavioral, with little focus on my actual past work. I met with four different groups from various departments, and some interviewers seemed completely uninterested. There was hardly any time for my questions. Communication after the interview was also poor; I was told to contact them with questions, but nobody followed up. A week later, they sent a job requisition out of the blue and asked me to apply to process an offer. The role in the req had nothing to do with our discussions or my background. The offer was for an entry-level position, way below what I expected, and I only had two days to decide. We'd discussed salary expectations multiple times before, so they could have saved us all time. No one from Milwaukee or the recruiter contacted me after I turned down the offer.

Electrical Engineer
Got an initial phone interview from a Principal Engineer, which lasted about half an hour and included a mix of STAR behavioral questions and technical questions about MCUs. A week later, HR sent details for a full-day video interview due to COVID, with back-to-back sessions with engineers and managers from different teams. Most interviewers were great, but two chief engineers in one round seemed uninterested, yawning multiple times during our 50-minute chat. I received feedback within a week. I answered all questions thoroughly and impressed the interviewers, but they ultimately said my experience wasn't a perfect match, despite it being exactly what they needed. It was disappointing after investing a whole day and giving what I thought were perfect answers.
