The interview was super easy, if you know the industry then you should be fine here. I sat with two people, they both helped explained how the company works and what happened. They aren't just interested in technical knowledge, but also our social and problem-solving skills, so be sure to have examples of that as well.

I interviewed for a Project Management position focused on expediting zoning permits, getting the opportunity through a temp agency. During the interview, the HR rep doubted my resume reflected project management skills, despite all my previous roles requiring it. My background includes project management for a builder and work as a realtor. She suggested I'd be a better fit for a client services role and offered to send a job description for it. I thanked her, expressed enthusiasm for the company, and said I'd look forward to the client services description. Unfortunately, she never sent it, and my follow-up emails went unanswered.

So, the company knew I was over-qualified for this Manager role but still had me interview. I met with four interviewers, and they seemed to like my skills and background. For a small company, they were really fixated on hiring people with exact industry experience. They should be open to people from different backgrounds and industries. Also, the job application itself was hard to read and looked really old-fashioned.
