The hiring process started with an application, then a phone interview, followed by an in-person interview. After that, there was a second in-person interview with the full staff. The whole thing felt like it took forever, and at one point, I honestly wondered if they'd already decided on someone and just forgot to tell me.

I applied online and submitted a standard application. Before even getting to the first interview, I had to agree to a credit check and provide 3 references with their names, titles, and phone numbers. The process started with a thorough phone interview. Then, I had a 3-hour meeting with the hiring manager and her direct supervisor. They were friendly, and we had a good discussion about the role, my experience, and what they were looking for.

The supervisors were friendly and seemed genuinely interested in learning about my background, both professional and academic. They asked me about my previous work in social media and marketing at an economic development firm where I had interned earlier that summer. They also asked some behavioral questions and were curious about my international experience.

The interview process was very open and communicative, I felt like I knew what was going on. There were six people on the interview panel, and they were all really collaborative, coming from different departments. They asked questions that were relevant to the job description and made me think, but weren't impossible. After we were done, one of the staff members gave me a tour of the campus.
