First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Milliken.
Intern
The interview process for my internship was very straight forward and well organized. I was contacted via email for a follow-up phone interview. From that initial screening I was then asked to come into the office for an in-person interview where I had a informal interview while I was being shown around the office building and then had a formal sit down interview with the individual that would be my direct report.
- What is your motivation for wanting this position?
Intern
I talked to two HR people at a career fair at my school. Then, that same afternoon, I got a call to interview on campus the next day. The interview was in person, and they asked me behavioral questions and about my resume experiences. Everything was pretty easy, and the interviewer was nice and friendly. About 1-2 weeks later, I was invited for an on-site interview at one of their plants. They gave me a plant tour during the on-site. I also had to prepare a short presentation about myself and my experiences beforehand, which I gave to three employees on-site. Afterward, they asked me some more behavioral and resume questions.
- Can you explain the entry in your resume regarding _?
- Tell me about your experiences.
- What can you tell me about the experiences listed on your resume?
Intern
I interviewed on campus through the university. It seemed like they didn't have any open positions they were actively interviewing for. They mentioned they'd follow up with candidates, but never did.
- What kind of internship are you hoping to find this summer?
