First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Miller PR.
Intern
The interview was conducted by staff members who were polite and direct. They asked questions about my experience, my academic background (degree, school), and my interests. The interview was quite brief, lasting no more than 10 minutes.
- What specifically about the internship program interested you?
- Do you know who their clients are?
Public Relations
After sending an email about a PR internship, I got a call inviting me for an interview. The HR coordinator asked standard interview questions, told me about the position, and the firm. I also talked with a public relations assistant. She helped me understand the company culture and her specialty more. Both were really nice and easy to talk to. I got great answers to my questions.
- What area of public relations interests you?
Account Executive
The whole interview process was completely unprofessional. When I got to the building, they told me to call the front desk, and they sent someone down to get me. He got impatient waiting for the elevator, so he made me walk up several flights of stairs (I was wearing heels). Once I reached the office, I had to wait almost 20 minutes past my scheduled interview time. The interviewer made rude comments about my past work experience, and I felt uncomfortable for most of the 30-minute interview. The interview focused more on the firm and their 'high-profile' clients than on how my experience could benefit the company. I was told I'd hear back that day about a second round of interviews, but I never did.
- Can you tell me about your biggest weakness?
Public Relations Specialist
The interview process was very direct and fast. They knew what they wanted and explained the job duties very well. The interviewer was nice and helpful.
- Could you tell me about your greatest weakness?
