First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Military Deli & Bakery Services.
Associate
I got an application in person from an employee and then I applied. About 3 days later the manager called me and asked to set up an interview. We set one up for the next day. I came in and the interview took about 30-35 minutes. After the interview she offered me the job and told me it would be at least a week or two before all my paperwork would be complete. A week and a half later I started working and it was pretty easy to pick up.
- Do you have prior food experience, and if not, what interests you about working here?
Bakery Manager
I met with the district and regional manager to introduce myself and discuss my ideas for the location and improvements. Then, we went into detail about their expectations for me and my expectations for the company.
- What changes would you implement?
- Can you elaborate on your ideas for improvement?
- What are your expectations from the company?
Deli Associate
The interview happened in the back of the deli/bakery area, with employees actively working and moving around. The other option was the subway off base. The interviewer was nice and easy to talk to. The whole thing took about 15-20 minutes, and the questions were simple to answer.
- In a situation where a customer is unhappy, how would you go about solving their problem?
Deli Clerk
Quick interview process. Had one interview with the Deli/Bakery Manager. They asked typical interview questions like about experience, biggest weakness, and dealing with angry customers.
- What are your weaknesses?
- Tell me about your experience.
- Can you describe a time you dealt with an angry customer?
