First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc..
Graphic Designer
My interview process started with a phone screener, followed by a 1:1 meeting with the design lead. Everyone I spoke with, including HR, was super friendly and kept me in the loop. The only hiccup was after my morning interview, they dropped a design test on me, due by the end of the day, which caught me off guard. It hadn't been mentioned before, and expecting unsolicited free work felt a bit rude. They did give me an extra day, but it caused some issues with management and communication.
- How would you describe your work style?
Intern
It was a really nice and friendly chat, pretty much what you'd expect from a normal interview. We had a good conversation and they asked a bunch of questions, so make sure you're prepared. I think you can also negotiate the pay.
- Tell me about your previous experience.
Civil Engineer
It was a 3-round interview process, mostly focused on communication and technical aspects. However, the final round got a bit intense as it involved a discussion about compensation with the Senior Manager. Make sure to present yourself in a way that shows good cultural fit.
- Tell me about a challenging situation you've navigated.
- How have you dealt with difficult circumstances in the past?
Administrative Assistant
The interview process wasn't too difficult, but it did involve three interviews with different people. First, I spoke with HR, then the hiring manager, and finally, a VP. The VP interview felt a bit excessive for an entry-level role, but the team was responsive and the overall process was straightforward.
- Tell me about your experience and how you manage multiple tasks.
